On 16th December 2020, the Canadian government published its Hydrogen Strategy for Canada. This update both summarises our analysis of the strategy, and compares Canada’s strategy to other strategies previously published by a number of European countries.
The strategy, if implemented fully, will position Canada as a powerful hydrogen producer – generating thousands of jobs, displacing carbon intensive fossil fuels in a range of applications, and enabling export of hydrogen into Europe.
