From 5 October – 11 November 2021, the Dutch SDE++ auction will award €5 billion in subsidies. Unique to the auction is that subsidies will be awarded based on a projects’ cost of abating CO2 emissions. This means that Solar PV and Onshore Wind projects are competing directly with CC(U)S, e-boilers and hydrogen projects.
