If you are a final-year undergraduate, postgraduate, or recent graduate with a strong academic record and meet the requirements below, you could be the right fit for us!

  • An ability to collect, analyse, and interpret complex information
  • An ability to communicate and collaborate with a wide range of people
  • Evidence of quantitative skills
  • Evidence of effective teamwork
  • Motivation for driving the green energy transition
  • Evidence of fluency in English (required)

Working with our teams

During the Graduate Analyst Program, you will participate in a rotational system, giving you the opportunity to work in our Research and Advisory teams. Upon completing the program, you will be offered a full-time position in one of these teams, based on your interests and business needs. Learn more about them below:

Advisory

Advising client decision-making with bespoke analysis

Our advice is fully bespoke, helping inform strategic decisions and providing the high levels of interaction required to facilitate some of the largest transactions in the energy sector. The nature of work is diverse, spanning different types of clients, technologies, and policy topics.

Research

Driving insights, informing decisions

The Research team forecasts the key power and commodity markets globally for over 800 subscribers, including clients from banks, funds, governments, and grid companies. Our reports focus on a variety of topics including renewables, battery storage, grid networks, thermal power, hydrogen, and commodities.

The Application Process

Our application process is designed to understand your competencies, strengths, and motivations for the program, but it’s also an opportunity for you to learn more about us! There will be ample time for your questions, and our hiring team will ensure you receive all relevant information about the assessment process in advance.

Application Tips

Online Application

Apply online by submitting your CV and answering application questions that explore your motivation for working in the energy sector and your interest in joining Aurora Energy Research.

Quantitative Assessments

Successful applicants will be invited to complete online quantitative assessments to identify their competencies and strengths.

Virtual Interview

After analysing test results, shortlisted applicants will be invited to a live 1:1 interview featuring qualitative and quantitative questions.

Final Interview

In the final stage of the application process, successful candidates will be invited to participate in virtual or in-person final interviews. During these sessions, candidates will be presented with two 45-minute conversational style interviews with quantitative case studies, as well as a task to evaluate written or presentation skills

Results

Once all assessment centers are completed and results are analysed, our Early Careers team will inform you of the outcome.

The Early Careers team will keep you updated throughout the recruitment process and let you know when to expect the final decision.

Austin has been populated by humans for about 13,000 years since the Paleolithic Era in Texas.

Austin is considered the “Live Music Capital of the World” due to it’s 200+ live music venues and over 2,000 bands and performing artists.

This office was our first in North America! It is conveniently located in the same complex as a coffee shop, sushi restaurant, and more!
