Research (Senior) Associate, Flexibility Products Lead, Pan-European Power Markets Team

Position

Joining our Oxford, Berlin or Athens office, you will contribute to the firm by developing analysis and conveying insights to enhance clients’ decision-making. You will lead project teams, playing an active role in all aspects of (internal and external) client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations. In doing so, you will help to guide utilities, investors, and government through the fundamental transition European power markets are facing.

You will join the pan-European Power Markets team, which is a transversal (horizontal) team that both supports and integrates the work of individual country power market teams within Aurora. You will act as the Product Lead for Aurora’s flexibility-related analysis across Europe, focusing primarily on flexibility market analysis, battery costs and performance, and revenue modelling and benchmarking. You will author our flagship European Battery Markets Attractiveness Report, as well as support new product development in the flexibility area.

The successful applicant will combine strong quantitative ability with a track record of performance in team-oriented environments in the energy sector. You will work in a dynamic, intellectually stimulating, and demanding yet supportive environment. You will enjoy autonomy, the opportunity to substantially influence major decisions in the energy sector and to grow into an industry expert under the guidance of directors with deep experience addressing major strategic issues at the world’s leading advisory firms.

The position suits a professional with 4+ years of relevant experience at a research or consulting firm or a company in the energy sector. The exact entry position will be dependent on experience and educational level.
