Payroll & Benefits Analyst

Position

In this newly created role, the Payroll and Benefits Analyst is responsible for efficiently managing our global payroll and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and delivering exceptional service to our employees. You will collaborate closely with the People & Culture Business Partners, the Finance department, and external vendors to maintain accurate employee records, process payroll, and administer and renew various employee benefits programs. In addition, you will provide accurate payroll and benefits analysis, working across multiple global entities to ensure that a competitive pay and benefits scheme is delivered to all employees.

You will act as a subject matter expert for payroll and benefits administration, aligning global policies and benefit design to support a fast-growing business. You will provide a day-to-day point of liaison between outsourced providers and the business, creating beneficial relationships and managing issues in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee payroll execution and governance for several global entities
  • Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations and taxation
  • Review, audit, and report bi-weekly and monthly payroll data, identifying changes in taxation or employee benefits, and analysing accordingly
  • Provide guidance on payroll and benefits best practices identifying areas of improvement to enhance efficiency across all payroll processes
  • Prepare payroll journals for accounting purposes
  • Prepare payroll-related reports, including tax filings, benefits usage reports, and reconciliations
  • Provide support to resolve payroll discrepancies and engage third-party providers as appropriate
  • Administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits, ensuring timely enrollment and accurate record-keeping
  • Manage benefits processes which would include new joiner orientation, enrollment, and termination, providing employee support as required.  Manage 3rd party invoicing processes
  • Manage day-to-day interface with global payroll and benefits providers
  • Coordinate all new employee onboarding, presenting benefits options and ensuring employees are fully informed
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity in payroll and benefits systems
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll and benefits laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to remain compliant
  • Assist with special projects related to compensation and benefits analysis as required

Required attributes

  • Degree qualified in Accounting or other Business Functions
  • Experienced in the analysis or administration of Payroll functions
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel Skills
  • Strong knowledge of analysis and project management tools
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and takes initiative to seek solutions
  • Ability to respect, protect and maintain highly confidential information
  • Fluency in English at C1 level is essential (written & oral)

Desirable attributes

  • Experience in global payroll legislation or keen to learn
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 360
  • Additional European language skills
