Navigating to calmer waters?—Prospects for the German power market after one year of crisis
In this German in-person group meeting we will present key insights from our annual update to our German Power and Renewables Market Forecast, to be released in April. Additionally, we aim to give an initial assessment of the EU’s reform plans for power market design.
Among others, we want to discuss the following key questions:
• What is our latest power price projection for the German power market? How does this compare against our previous forecasts?
• How do we expect gas prices to evolve, and by when will power prices rebalance to a more stable trajectory? What will be the implications of the current high inflation environment?
• What are likely changes to the market design in the EU and in Germany? Which developments can be anticipated and already planned for?
