We are pleased to invite you to join our Public Webinar on Tuesday, 21 January at 11:00–12:00 CET. To join, please read the instructions located below the registration button.

The Netherlands has become a global leader in solar energy, with over 24 GW of installed capacity and the highest solar capacity per capita. Rooftop installations, accounting for over 80% of solar capacity, are currently attractive due to the net metering scheme in place. The situation for utility-scale solar is more challenging: increasing grid constraints, price cannibalisation, and negative prices are putting pressure on solar business models, and these issues are expected to grow in the coming years.

Innovative solar technologies such as vertical panels, bi-facial modules, and solar tracking systems could optimise grid usage, boost revenues, and mitigate some of the emerging risks, but can these technologies overcome their higher costs?

In this Public Webinar, we will explore whether innovative solar configurations can be competitive in the Dutch power market and under what conditions they may outperform traditional systems.

Key questions we will address include:

  • What innovative solar setups exist, and how do they compare in terms of costs, energy yield, and production profile?
  • What are the revenues for innovative setups, and how are they affected by price cannibalisation?
  • Are innovative solar setups more profitable than conventional systems?

If you have any questions, please get in touch with our Commercial Associate for the Dutch region Tim Vandenbroucke.

Please note: To complete your registration, your company email address must be associated with an active Zoom account.
