February 26 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CST

Tucson Electric Power’s balancing authority covers more than 550,000 electric customers, with a peak load of 3.4 GW. In the next decade, the utility is scheduled to retire nearly 1 GW of coal resources at a time when load is growing in the Desert Southwest. Key topics to be covered in the session include:

  • An overview of Tucson Electric Power
  • Drivers of future procurement including network changes, thermal retirements, load growth, and the regulatory environment
  • Results of historical procurement processes and the competitive landscape in Tucson Electric’s service territory
  • An overview of UniSource Energy Services, including load growth expectations, past procurement activities, and planned resource additions through 2038

Since this is a subscriber-only session, please contact Duncan Young (duncan.young@auroraer.com) if you are interested in joining.
