Join our Australian NEM team as they dive into the detailed modelling of proposals from the Federal Coalition to introduce nuclear technology into the National Electricity Market (NEM).

This webinar will examine the potential costs and benefits of deploying nuclear energy within the NEM, with a primary focus on total system cost forecasts and emissions outcomes.

Given the inherent uncertainty surrounding significant policy shifts and the introduction of new technology in the NEM, this webinar will map out a range of plausible scenarios. These scenarios will cover various cost inputs, including coal life extensions, nuclear, emissions, and transmission, as well as market scenarios such as demand, coal closures, and delays in renewable and transmission build-out. The goal is to explore the costs and benefits under a number of different futures.

Additionally, the webinar will provide an overview of the experience with nuclear energy in other markets across the UK, EU, US, China, Japan, and Korea.
