Flexible Grid Connection Agreements and Their Impact on Batteries in Germany
March 25 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm GMT

Register
Earlier this year, the German Parliament adopted a comprehensive energy reform package that includes provisions for flexible grid connection agreements. This will allow grid operators to offer non-firm grid connections and enable cable pooling. With grid connections becoming increasingly scarce, this topic is highly relevant for battery and renewables developers. While flexible grid connections may limit the operational flexibility of battery assets, they can help reduce grid connection costs (Baukostenzuschuss) and accelerate the connection process.
In this webinar, we explore the impact of flexible grid connections on the battery business case and discuss the latest market developments.
The one-hour virtual webinar will be split into a content presentation and a panel discussion:
- Part One—Presentation of our analysis of how different flexible grid connection agreements impact battery revenues and their business case
- Part 2—Panel discussion with two experts on the topic:
- Christina Hepp— Director of Strategy, Green Flexibility Development Gmbh.
- Steffen Schülzchen— Founder & CEO Entrix GmbH.
