The EU’s ambitious decarbonisation targets for industry, aviation, and maritime sectors make e-fuels a critical piece in the energy transition puzzle. With over 85% of e-fuel costs made up of hydrogen, the industry can provide attractive value pockets for electrolysers and hydrogen market actors. However, the conditions for European e-fuel production need to be set in a way that they are cost-competitive and in line with the willingness to pay for e-fuel offtakes.
Focusing on e-ammonia, e-methanol, e-kerosene, and e-methane, the webinar explores the opportunities and obstacles for e-fuel production in Germany, Sweden, Spain, and Italy. We will explore the following questions:
