The Case for Battery Storage in PJM

In this webinar, we will focus on the business outlook for batteries in PJM, including both asset and market-level analysis. Specifically, we will present analyses on the following questions:

• How will various revenue streams – capacity, wholesale arbitrage, ancillaries, state incentives – contribute to different battery cases’ economics, and how is that mix shifting over time?
• How will load growth, upcoming regulation market reforms, and increasing renewable penetration affect battery dispatch behavior and margins?
• What are the different locational dimensions that can impact battery margins, and how do they differ across PJM’s footprint?
• Will state targets drive an appetite for contracted battery offtake agreements in PJM, and what contract structures might be of interest to both offtakers and developers?
