SAO PAULO (AURORA ENERGY RESEARCH)—Aurora Energy Research, the world’s largest dedicated power market analytics provider, is thrilled to announce that it has officially opened its new office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, marking a significant milestone in its global journey.

As the largest energy market in South America, Brazil holds immense potential, and Aurora is excited to be at the forefront of this dynamic landscape.

Aurora’s latest data shows that Brazil’s power market is currently liberalizing at a rapid pace. Hydroelectric power accounts for 71% of power generation and is a key driver for power market prices. The national hydrogen plan anticipates the production of 480 Mton/year of low-carbon hydrogen by 2030, intended to meet both domestic and international demand.

Aurora’s Brazilian Power & Renewables Service features:

  • Brazilian power prices until 2060
  • Key drivers, encompassing commodity prices, power demand, capacity, and technology assumptions
  • Low and High scenarios—navigate key market uncertainties

Commenting on the expansion, Priscila Vellano, Commercial Manager Brazil at Aurora Energy Research, said:

“We are thrilled to leverage Aurora’s expertise in the diverse Power Market of Brazil.
