We are looking for someone who has a strong interest in energy, and in contributing to the firm by developing analysis and conveying insights to enhance clients’ decision making. You will support developers, utilities, investors, and governments to navigate the Greek, Bulgarian, Romanian, Hungarian, Slovenian, Croatian and Serbian power markets, as they are transitioning away from coal towards renewables.
You will join our office in Athens:
- either full-time for up to 3 months, or
- on a part-time basis as a working student for approximately 20 hours per week for a period of 6 months

The position suits current students of bachelor’s or master’s programs, with possible opportunities to collaborate with us for your Master or Doctoral thesis. High-performing interns and working students will be given the opportunity to join Aurora full-time after graduation.
Key responsibilities
- You will conduct research and support the development of timely and rigorous quantitative analyses to enhance clients’ decision making. You will have opportunities to play an active role in all aspects of client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, synthesising conclusions into recommendations, and communicating findings to clients.
- You will work closely with our research and modelling teams, structuring economic problems into quantifiable analyses and deriving insights from the model results.
Required attributes
- University students with a strong quantitative background and/or a keen interest in technology, energy markets, and policy
- An ability to collect, analyse and interpret complex data and information
- Proficiency (C1/C2 level) in English and one other South Eastern European language (preferably Romanian, Bulgarian or Serbian) is essential
- Proficiency (B2/C1) in other South Eastern European languages, e.g. Croatian, Albanian or Greek is a bonus
- Enthusiasm for energy markets: previous professional or academic exposure to energy beneficial
