Financial Compensation Analyst, Global

Position

The Financial Compensation Analyst is a high-profile, critical role providing global compensation support for our 450+ employees across 12 countries.

As the technical lead, you will support the development of global salary, bonus, and incentive structures, manage the annual compensation budgeting & benchmarking process, and maintain country-specific payscales.

Your strong business and financial acumen will underpin your gravitas and credibility to work with C-suite members and provide quantitative and qualitative information to our People & Culture Centres of Expertise.

Key responsibilities

Salary Benchmarking

  • Prepare global salary benchmarking survey submissions, including data collection, role matching, and related analysis of survey reports
  • Perform global market benchmarking analyses to ensure our payscales are market competitive
  • Conduct ad hoc proxy analysis from desk research in support of competitive market assessments
  • Undertake ad-hoc benchmarking and prepare salary proposals relating to payrises and promotions
  • Support the bi-annual global salary & performance review process, including preparation of pay and pay inflation analyses, pay budgets, pay proposal materials, analysis of proposals, and implementation
  • Maintain an internal database of all payscales, bonus and incentive structures and non-standard compensation packages
  • Provide recurring and ad-hoc compensation metrics, data reporting, and other analyses
  • Support the preparation and completion of global regulatory compensation reporting and filings
  • Monitor data to ensure data integrity and consistency and distinguish any gaps, ensuring all data is compliant with local legal requirements
  • Conduct ongoing research and analysis into emerging and industry trends, market data, and best practices related to compensation programs

 

Analytics

  • Manipulate, model, analyse & interpret large data sets, draw conclusions and create a compelling narrative to add value to compensation-related decisions
  • Use of effective data visualization techniques to present compelling narratives and insights, model financial impact, and draw conclusions
  • Design, build, and implement analytical models using people and market data to forecast costs and identify issues and impacts
  • Work on ad-hoc compensation projects throughout the year, including research and analysis together with the development of recommendations.
  • Deliver annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Provide compensation-related administration, e.g., manage employee/line manager queries, rewards meetings, invoices

 

Compensation Governance

  • Provide data insights and analysis for Remuneration Committee (REMCO) papers
  • Support design philosophies and strategies to attract, reward, and retain talent through analytics
  • First point of contact on compensation-related policies and governance, providing sound guidance to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the internal and external compliance and guidance information relating to compensation, globally

 

Incentives

  • Support with the calculation, analysis, and awarding of sales and bonus incentive programmes
  • Analytical support for annual and long-term incentive programs e.g., cost modelling / analysis, budget planning, run rates, etc
  • Point of contact for queries at all levels of the Company

Required attributes

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Finance, or an equivalent STEM discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial reporting, analytics, accounting, or payroll-related role
  • Data analysis and modelling; managing and manipulating large complex data sets
  • Understanding of survey methodologies, including job matching, reporting line and responsibilities
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel & Office; ability to use MS Excel for analysis, reporting and data cleansing; strong knowledge of formulas (VLOOKUP, IF, OR, INDEX, MATCH, etc.), data validation functionality, and creation of Pivot tables; ability to work with MS Excel VBA or PowerBI an advantage
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Αbility to work both collaboratively and independently, and a high level of organization and detail orientation are all prerequisites Demonstrated capability in handling a high volume of projects and complex transactions efficiently is also a must
