Global Learning & Development (L&D) Manager


In this newly created position, the Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for our global L&D strategy and programmes.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you will work closely with leaders, and line managers to identify global learning needs, support our top management to identify areas of development that helps our talent to reach to their full potential.

This is an excellent career move for someone who has been operating as a Senior L&D Advisor/ Business Partner within a global corporate to step up to the next level, to drive the future direction of the L&D function in a scaling, global company and use your strong L&D expertise and analytical mindset to influence the C-suite.

Key responsibilities

  • Create & implement the global L&D strategy
  • Analyse, evaluate individual and organizational skills gaps & development needs
  • Build implement and evaluate L&D calendar & learning paths
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide expert advice, guidance, and support on L&D strategy and initiatives across all regions globally.
  • Ensure our onboarding, graduate, leadership, and functional L&D curricula are “best in class”, and that they run efficiently and effectively in all regions.
  • Build an effective communication plan to promote uptake and engagement with the L&D offerings
  • Lead the L&D Coordinator; ensuring they are kept motivated, that they are constantly challenged to progress, and assisted in their development.
  • Provide regular analytics and reporting on L&D activity and ROI
  • Set and manage the annual L&D budget

Required attributes

  • BSc/BA in Business, Psychology, or a related field
  • Significant experience in progressively building and leading L&D functions in high-growth scaling companies
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Proficient in MS Office and various Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen, executive presence
  • Ability to build rapport with leaders, employees and vendors
  • Diagnostic competence is an advantage
  • Fluent in English
