Position

We are looking for a Commercial Operations Manager who shall be the driving force and project manager for lifting our commercial approach from ‘good to great’. This shall involve building and implementing highly effective systems and processes to push our sales and client management activities, operations, and organisation to the next level, allowing to further scale while we are growing in Europe, and increasingly, beyond. The role shall ensure the well-planned provision of support to the entire commercial team and key clients, plus driving the sales planning and forecasting process.

The successful candidate will report to the Global Commercial Director, be a member of Aurora’s Commercial Leadership Team and manage a team of currently two colleagues with the potential to grow the team further in the future.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the commercial function at Aurora with direct leadership responsibility for Data Insights and KPIs, Systems and Processes, Commercial Playbook, and Capability Development of the team
  • Produce clear and insightful reporting of financial and operational KPIs, client and service usage statistics
  • Manage the ongoing development and administration of the CRM System (Salesforce) including dashboards and information flow between systems
  • Provide data-driven analysis to support account development plans, sales target submissions, and Aurora’s commercial strategy and go-to-market approach
  • Oversee client service delivery activities and systems including content provision platform, physical and virtual client interaction formats
  • Support to the commercial front-office function by making sure that resources and processes are in place to drive performance
  • Act as the interface with Aurora’s finance team and other business operations functions (Legal, HR, IT etc.)

Required attributes

  • Significant experience (5 years+) in Sales and Marketing roles, including designing and leading activities to improve sales and marketing effectiveness
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate in a lucid and fact-based manner
  • Proactive with the ability to identify inefficiencies, formulate a plan, engage stakeholders and execute with limited oversight
  • Demonstrated ability in project management and to lead and manage analytical people and team development activities
  • Knowledge of Change Management best practices
  • Identify tools and resources required to support business needs
  • Build and manage sales development capability
  • Strategically plan for the commercial team to deliver Aurora’s goals
  • Promote collaboration across departments
