Associate Product Manager

Position

Aurora’s SaaS team create cloud-based analytics products which help our users make better strategic decisions on the road to carbon-free future. Widely adopted by leading energy
companies and investors, our products change the way that energy market analytics is performed and delivered.

We are currently looking for an entrepreneurial Associate Product Manager to support the development and expansion of new SaaS product offerings. As the Associate Product Manager, you will inform product strategy and drive its execution, making critical decision on the direction of the product. You will lead the work of a cross-functional team spanning product analysts, modellers, software engineers and commercial associates.

The successful candidate will combine track record in managing complex projects and/or products, excellent communication and analytical skills, a passion for, and understanding of,
the global energy transition and an entrepreneurial drive. They will work in a creative, intellectually stimulating, and supportive environment. They will gain cutting edge knowledge of the energy sector, develop and hone relationships with Aurora’s senior clients and vitally contribute to one of Aurora’s key strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

  • You will build and maintain product roadmap, making key decision on feature prioritisation, in line with product vision and strategy
  • You will develop new propositions for product features and enhancements, defining their objective, scope and success criteria
  • You will analyse data and research to inform product decisions
  • You will conduct competition, market, and customer research
  • You will measure, analyse and report on product adoption, usage and performance
  • You will develop and manage client relationships, develop in-depth understanding of client requirements and manage user feedback
  • You will support the Product Lead in driving the international expansion of the product
  • You will drive product adoption and customer success
  • You will work with a cross-functional team of highly skilled software engineers, modellers, research analysts and commercial representatives in continuous product delivery
  • You will collaborate with others to build out the Product function, to share best practices and to expand the culture of Product Management throughout

Required attributes

  • Min. 2 years of experience and a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects that require significant cross-functional coordination
  • Min. 1 year of experience interacting with mid-level and/or senior members of external third parties, such as clients or partners
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills evidenced by appropriate professional and educational track record
  • Deep interest in energy and/or decarbonisation

Desirable attributes

  • Experience in the energy sector
  • Experience working on software products/features
  • Experience in top-tier professional services firms, e.g. management consulting or banking
