Powering Southern Europe’s Green Future: Investment, Innovation & Integration

Policymakers, grid operators, investors, and clean energy innovators will come together on 3rd June at Círculo de Bellas Artes for the inaugural Aurora Energy Transition Summit Madrid, where Southern Europe’s pathway to a flexible, secure, and low-carbon power system will take centre stage. The Summit will explore how power systems can remain reliable as renewable energy continues to grow across the region. It brings together experts to unpack what the grid needs to stay flexible—from new operability tools to evolving flexibility products. Speakers will highlight the role of storage and hybrid assets in strengthening the system and opening new investment opportunities. They’ll also address the real bottlenecks slowing progress, including permitting delays, grid-connection queues, and the need for clearer capacity and curtailment signals.

The Summit aims to be an important part of the energy transition in Southern Europe, bringing together policymakers, investors, and industry leaders to turn ideas into action, collaborate, and accelerate the delivery of clean, reliable, and affordable energy.

Agenda

The ETS Madrid 2026 agenda delivers a full day of keynotes and panel discussions exploring Southern Europe’s energy transition. It covers themes such as system flexibility, grid operability, investment strategy, and scaling clean power. The programme is designed to give delegates clear, structured insight into the region’s most urgent transition challenges.
