The 11th edition of the event returns with a different, two-day format in London.
OXFORD (AURORA ENERGY RESEARCH)—Aurora Energy Research, the global power analytics provider, is pleased to announce the 11th Aurora Spring Forum 2025, set to take place in London on 21 May and 22 May, 2025. Now expanded to a two-day format, the Spring Forum remains the most senior gathering in the European energy sector. It will bring together top industry leaders, policymakers, investors, and innovators to address the critical challenges shaping global energy markets today.
The event takes place against a backdrop of heightened geopolitical tensions and policy uncertainty. The election of Donald Trump has reignited uncertainty in international relations, while ongoing instability in Ukraine and political fragmentation across key European governments continue to challenge coordinated global action. At the same time, the energy sector is navigating the costs and complexities of deep decarbonisation, requiring bold leadership and innovative solutions.
The Aurora Spring Forum 2025 will therefore serve as a platform for high-level discussions, offering cutting-edge insights and fostering collaboration among the industry’s foremost decision-makers. For another year, the Aurora Spring Forum will serve as a gathering ground for the energy sector, fostering engaging discussions and valuable networking opportunities.
In addition to Aurora’s expert speakers, the lineup involves a selection of sector leaders, including:
- Jakob Stausholm, Chief Executive Officer, Rio Tinto
- Martin Pibworth, Chief Executive Designate, SSE
- Joe Kaeser, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Siemens Energy & Daimler Truck
- Markus Krebber. Chief Executive Officer, RWE
- Jonathan Brearley, Chief Executive Officer, Ofgem

and many more.
Hanns Koenig, Managing Director, EMEA, at Aurora Energy Research, commented:
“The Aurora Spring Forum is the largest gathering of its kind: a place for senior participants from across Europe to meet, learn, and exchange ideas. This is ever more important in a time when the energy transition is facing serious geopolitical headwinds.”
The event is supported by enspired, National Grid, CIBC, Clarke Energy, MUFG, RWE, and Schroders Greencoat.
